Permanent Folder Settings:

If XP does not remember your folder settings,

1. Start the Registry Editor.

2. Navigate the following Registry Value, Delete or Rename it.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags
